CD and Advert Pitch

We have done our pitch presentations on the 11th December and got some feedback and recommendations from our class that we might find quite useful during the creation of the print products.

- fonts represent genre and style of music video
- the third one and last one would look good as it is simple and not too childish
- don't use pink light, stick with ordinary lights and add in any other effects after
- white backdrop would be good

Focus group feedback

We have done a focus group for our music video and we got rather great feedback that will help us during the editing of the video.

- good concept
- a narrative would make it better
- good use of different locations and similar lighting, worked well with the music video
- used both location's shots constantly from beginning until the end
- good use of cuts, especially where the balloon cuts and table falls, matches well with the beat
- narrative/timeline is confusing at bits
- the shot at the end isn't very good but could be improved by a shot where the character "hits" the camera and it falls down
- taking the wig off doesn't really relate to the rest of the music video and lyrics

Pitch Focus Group Feedback

This is the feedback we got on our music video ideas pitch.

- unique, well chosen genre
- good locations and shots that fit genre
- well thought out, lots of details
- is she going to be represented the same as in the real world?
yes because we want to continue the story of Crybaby, Melanie Martinez's album's motif of the events being about her even in the music videos visually
- interesting theme
- ambitious locations but God's Own Junkyard is good because it is very local
- locations suit the song

Question 4 - Evaluation
