Monday's lesson - 15/01/2018

In today's lesson, I tried to find the font that we planned on using on the magazine advert and CD cover as I previously forgot to note it down. Today, after finding it, I made a note of it so I can download it at home and work on it outside of lessons as I have Photoshop at home and can easily work on it whenever I can't work on it in lessons to finish it off for Friday.


Since I couldn't work on my print products in lesson, I continued improving my case studies and everything else to be able to finish it all for Friday.

Print product layouts

I have drawn out the plans of the layouts for my print products to visualise how I want them to look. These are my initial plans but these can change when I actually make them.

Photoshoot for print products - 08/01/2018

In today's lesson that we booked the studio for, we took photos and I think they came out well. Now, I will have to choose which ones to put on which product.

CD and Advert Pitch

We have done our pitch presentations on the 11th December and got some feedback and recommendations from our class that we might find quite useful during the creation of the print products.

- fonts represent genre and style of music video
- the third one and last one would look good as it is simple and not too childish
- don't use pink light, stick with ordinary lights and add in any other effects after
- white backdrop would be good

I have improved the case studies for the print products.

We presented our pitch of our ideas of the CD package and advert in today's lesson.

Case studies (finished presentation)

Today, I have finished my case studies presentation of my analysis of the album cover and adverts of Lady Gaga's Joanne, Halsey's Badlands and Sia's 1000 Forms of Fear albums. I think looking at these three artist was really helpful in terms of coming up with ideas of what to put on the CD package and the magazine advert I am going to be making, and I realised that synergy is present in all of the products of these artist, both in house style and images.
