I have updated this post many times because I wanted to have all the preproduction in one post, therefore this is the only post including all the pre-production.

Recces
- Photography Studio
We thought the studio will be suitable for scenes where the shadow of the man is shown and also for the bits where Crybaby is destroying a cake.
- Sketch London
We thought Sketch wasn't suitable for filming even though the setting was really nice because the restaurant is always really busy and we couldn't get access to it for filming purposes.
- God's Own Junkyard
We thought that God's Own Junkyard is a really good place to film, especially the outside bit. We think it fits Melanie's style and the colour scheme of the shots would be really aesthetic.
- Afters (Leyton High Road)
We later on thought of Afters, an ice cream and dessert shop chain. The closest shop is on Leyton High Road, and it is perfect for us to film since the shop's colours are pink and black, which matches the symbolic colours of Melanie Martinez. Here, we would also have the opportunity to buy something and show it in the music video, since we are planning on including a cake as well to fit Melanie's "sweet" and childish style. As it is an inside space, we wouldn't have to worry about weather and it isn't far from our college, meaning we could go there anytime after lessons and film. All these factors are very important and we are very likely to film in Afters as they are easier to contact and access too.
- Kyoto Garden
Kyoto Garden in Holland Park was another great location as the colours are very bright, however, we didn't think it would suit the whole aesthetics of the music video nor Melanie's style, also it is very inconvenient as it is very far away from the station and we would have to carry the equipment for a long time, also there is no guarantee it won't rain.
Risk Assessments
Studio
I have e-mailed Roz Mansfield, the media manager of Atlantic Records in the UK asking for permission to use the track.
